Two-Man Precision Shoot Recap - Those who fought the wind on Saturday October 25th had a great time getting in on competition and meeting other shooting enthusiasts from the Black Hills. The two-man precision shoot held at the rifle range kicked off with teams shooting for the best score at 200 yards. As the yardage increased, so did the strength of the wind, but it didn’t keep the competition from heating up. Each partner had 10 minutes to fire 5 rounds at 200, 400, 500 and 600 yards, testing their marksmanship and ability to outsmart the breeze.
The 1st ever competitive rifle match at the Buffalo Chip Shooting Complex was won by the team of Dennie Mann and Donald Sartorius. Second and third place teams were also awarded cash prizes.
A special thank you to the Varmint Hunters Association of Fort Pierre for their support and door prizes.
We plan to hold more team precision shooting matches in 2009. As dates are released, they will be posted here!
